Daniel Ralph Iassogna…born in May 1969 in Connecticut…Has been a full-time member of the Major League staff since 2004…worked the 2005 American League Division Series between the Red Sox and the White Sox and the 2007 ALDS between the Angels and the Red Sox…was one of the umpires who represented Major League Baseball during the 2006 Japan All-Star Series…worked the Toronto round of the 2009 World Baseball Classic…worked his first Major League game on August 20, 1999 and worked American and National League games that year…previously umpired in the New York Penn League (1992-93), South Atlantic League (1994), Carolina League (1995), Texas League (1996-97) and International League (1998-2003).

I would like to thank Umpire Dan Iassogna for making two little girls first Baseball experience a memorable one. At the Sunday May 2nd Yankees vs White Sox game, Umpire Iassogna’s kind words and kind jestures made two little girls exteamly happy. This guy really gets it. There should be more like him
I think the guy is a complete IDIOT!!! He should buy glasses so he actually see the game…Example: the game on July 5 he overrode the head umpire and changed the whole game around which the Reds STOLE….A BETTER IDEA…HE SHOULD JUST RETIRE OR GO TO A NURSING HOME!!!
